How many sets can I plug end to end?
It is on every product page, because it differs by set — eight for the warm white minis, five for the C9s, three for the icicles. Do not exceed it: that limit is what keeps the first plug within its rating.
Are these safe outside in rain and snow?
The sets marked outdoor are, and their rating is on the product page (IP44 or IP65). Plug them into an outdoor-rated, GFCI-protected socket, and keep the transformer and joins off the ground.
Is warm white actually warm?
Ours are 2,700 K, which is the colour of an old filament bulb. Cheap LED sets are often 4,000 K and read blue against brick and skin.
Can I cut a set to length?
Only the rope light, and only at the marked cut points every three feet. Cutting any other set makes it unsafe and voids the warranty.
When will it arrive?
Orders placed before 2 PM ET on a business day leave the same day, and most arrive in 3–5 business days. Tracking is emailed as soon as it ships.
How do I pay?
Card or PayPal, on this site. Press Buy now and the checkout opens in a window on the page: your card is authorised when you continue to shipping and charged when you place the order. Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii or outside the US?
Free shipping covers the contiguous 48 states and DC. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and APO/FPO are quoted by email before you order. We do not ship outside the United States.
What if I change my mind?
Thirty days from delivery, unused and in its packaging, refunded to the card or PayPal account you used. Faulty or damaged items are our cost, including the return postage.
Is there a catch on the prices?
No. The price on the product page is the price charged, tax included, with shipping free to the contiguous US. There is no handling fee added at the end.
Do the photos show the exact item?
The photographs show the style of each product. The specification table on each page is what we ship to — the height, the tip count, the light count, the rating. If what arrives does not match the table, we collect it and refund you.
